Outcome Supporters Survey

Following the Report to Methodist Conference this June on issues relating to marriage and sexuality, you may be aware that the Methodist Church has committed itself to a 2-year ‘listening’ period – to enable the Church to further engage in dialogue and debate on the issues.

As Outcome seeks to help the Methodist Church to become fully inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and inter-sex (LGBTQI) people – the Coordinating Group see this moment as a real opportunity to urge the Church forward. We have therefore been drafting a strategy for the next two years which will enable us to fully engage in and influence this dialogue at all levels within the Church.

As part of this process, it is really important that we have a better understanding of our ‘constituency’ of supporters and a sense of what your background, experiences and priorities might be. For this reason, we are conducting a ‘Supporters Survey’. The survey is very brief – just 10 questions – and so will only take a few minutes to complete. For the ease of most people, we have set this up as an online ‘SurveyMonkey’ questionnaire.

If you click on the link below, it will take you directly to the survey and all you need to do is click through and answer the questions. If you cannot click the link successfully, cut and paste the link into your website browser.

The survey is entirely anonymous. It is live now and will stay available until on 21st September. We would encourage you to take the small amount of time necessary to complete the survey as it will truly help us as we move forward.

We look forward to reporting the results of the survey to you at our AGM and residential in January and in a future edition of the newsletter.
